UK Data Estates Bulletin: week of 26 Oct 2026.

Every week, hundreds of UK companies enter liquidation or administration. Their working records become an asset that the insolvency practitioner must realise for creditors. This bulletin lists, without names, the ones large and established enough to hold useful data.

Data-rich estates per week over the last eight weeks, and this week's mix by sector and size. Hospitality and retail are common; software and professional services are rarer and worth moving on quickly.

03 / How it works

Nothing here is for sale yet. Your interest is what starts it.

We don't hold rights to any of these records. The licensed insolvency practitioner appointed to each company decides whether its data can be realised for creditors.

  1. You register interest in an estate, or tell us the kind you want, by reference number.
  2. We take your spec to the practitioner. A named buyer with a real requirement is what makes realising the records worth their time.
  3. The practitioner decides, after a data protection assessment. Many estates won't proceed, and servers are often switched off within weeks, so speed matters.
  4. If it goes ahead, records are rights-checked and de-identified before anything moves, then offered on our standard licence terms. We act for the estate, not the buyer.

Method

Source: The Gazette insolvency notices (Open Government Licence v3.0) and Companies House accounts. Covers creditors' voluntary liquidations and administrations gazetted 26 Oct 2026 to 1 Nov 2026; members' (solvent) liquidations are left out. An estate is listed if the company had 25+ average staff in its latest filed accounts and isn't in a sensitive sector. Staff, age and region are banded so the bulletin can't be used to single out a company.
